The Cabrito House was established in 1970 and began out of a need for a men’s recovery house in the West San Fernando Valley. For over thirty-five years, the Cabrito House has offered a structured six to nine month program that requires all residents to maintain employment, attend AA meetings and other community functions. The Cabrito house has helped thousands of men recover from alcoholism and integrate themselves back into the community.
The specific and primary purpose for which the Cabrito Foundation was formed are charitable and are to concern themselves with the establishment and maintenance of a center for the rehabilitation of alcoholic men.
The Cabrito House operates on a non-profit basis and is governed by the Cabrito Foundations Board of Trustees. The board members are a committee of volunteers who do not receive compensation for their work. As such, one hundred percent of all donations go directly to the operations of the house.
Cabrito Foundation has accomplished a great deal this past year and our
goals for on-going projects are once again ambitious. We invite you to
become a member or renew your membership in the “Friends of Cabrito” today.
“Friends” was established as an annual contribution program with the hopes
of raising additional funds to help offset increasing maintenance and improvement
costs of the house.
would like to thank you for your continued support and contributions.
